Objective of the funding programme

The Natural Environment & Climate Resilience 2025 programme of the Green Fund contributes to climate adaptation by supporting projects that protect and restore ecosystems, enhance biodiversity, and strengthen the resilience of natural and urban areas against climate risks. Through measures such as wildfire prevention, flood management, sustainable water use, and ecosystem rehabilitation, the programme helps reduce vulnerability to extreme weather events while promoting long-term environmental sustainability and community safety. Priority axes include:

  • AXIS I - Environmental Protection, Climate Neutrality and other actions. This also includes projects on biodiversity conservation,iInnovative actions, smart cities, etc.
  • AXIS II - Innovative actions with citizens.
  • AXIS III - Technical Assistance.
