COP28, in collaboration with WHO and other partners, will organize the first ever Health Day on 3 December, including a climate-health ministerial. The COP is expected to lift the political profile of the climate-health topic, and mainstream health in the climate change agenda and -vice versa- climate change in health policies. WHO and Wellcome Trust host the COP28 Health Pavilion, bringing together a wide variety of climate-health stakeholders and actors. Several events on the climate-health nexus are organized in Dubai and streamed online.

Pathways2Resilience is a flagship project under the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, working to empower 150 regions in developing transformative adaptation plans. On 23rd of November, in Brussels and online, the project will explore how regions are successfully implementing the EU Mission and what transformative adaptation looks like in practice, from new finance models, to ecosystem engagement, to innovative policies. The first call for applications will also be launched, selecting regions and communities that will receive funding and supporting services from the programme to develop transformative strategies and action plans towards climate resilience.
