Future plantings of urban trees must consider climate resilience

In a new study, researchers conducted a global climate-risk analysis for urban forests, assessing the vulnerability of tree and shrub species in cities. More than half of the trees turn out to be at risk from climate change. Urban greening must use species that can cope with future conditions to secure benefits.
