After a record-breaking application process, the five best projects will be awarded during the ceremony on September 19, 2024. The 'Blauer Kompass' ('Blue Compass') Adaptation Award is the highest state award in Germany for climate adaptation projects, advertised by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), and the German Environment Agency (UBA). This year's competition has attracted a record-braking 301 applications, of which 20 outstanding projects have been selected for nomination.
