A growing response to the urgent demands of climate adaptation in cities is ‘tactical urban regeneration’. It is an approach that blends the quick, low-cost interventions of tactical urbanism with the long-term goals of urban renewal. This policy brief provides five key recommendations, drawn from Interreg Europe good practices. They aim to guide cities in deploying tactical and temporary uses as stepping stones towards more permanent urban transformation.
