Shifting climate conditions are increasingly affecting global agricultural production. Prolonged droughts, changes in soil moisture or more frequent and intense floods are putting pressure on crops, irrigation systems and land management practices. To measure if adaptation is underway, the OECD developed 17 indicators to assess countries’ adaptation progress in agricultural production that can both assess progress made and identify remaining adaptation needs and policy gaps.
