The EU-funded CLIMAS project tested in three Climate Citizens’ Assemblies (Catalonia, Edermünde, and Riga), an innovative problem-oriented climate adaptation toolbox. It is based on a values-based approach, design thinking methods and citizen science mechanisms. Citizens called for climate protection in land use planning, sufficient permeable surface and dialogues and participation formats for adaptation and land use activities.
