The Baltic Window was developed in the context of the Baltadapt project. It is a one-stop-shop portal that compiles information available for the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) with respect to climate change adaptation. It aims at acting as a central hub and helping interested decision-makers adapt to climate change impacts. The Baltic Window is integrated into the European Climate Adaptation Platform as a sub-section under the heading ‘Transnational regions’. Specifically, the BSR subsection provides information about the Baltic Sea Region and its climate change impacts, as well as information on sectoral vulnerabilities. The policy framework, important organisations and key documents, such as the proposal for a BSR-wide Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and Action Plan developed within the Baltadapt project, are also described. Furthermore, examples of adaptation actions and an overview on projects dealing with climate change adaptation in the BSR and their relevant outputs are presented.
