RESIN Adaptation Options Library (2018)

Description

RESIN is a European research project aiming to enhance climate resilience in European cities. The project has developed practical and applicable tools to support cities in designing and implementing climate adaptation strategies for their local contexts. The “RESIN Adaptation Options Library” synthesizes the scientific literature (about 300 papers and more than 700 scenario case) on the performance of adaptation measures which are relevant for urban contexts, therefore specifically covering measures related to heat, pluvial, fluvial and coastal floods and drought. The main objective of the RESIN library is supporting practitioners in developing a preliminary portfolio of feasible adaptation options at the city or more detailed (e.g. neighborhood scale) level and provide information for their prioritization.

Adaptation options can be filtered by hazard type, scale of implementation, climatic region where the measure has been implemented, type of measure according to the IPCC’s classification of adaptation options, group of measures, target of the measure and sector to which the measure is applicable. Options can also be selected by keywords.
