Description

The Smart Cities Stakeholder Platform provides an opportunity or municipalities to become an active 'smart city'. The Solution Proposals submitted by cities and posted on the platform are innovative ways in which cities can become smarter in the areas of energy efficiency and buildings, energy supply networks, mobility and transport and ICT use. They range from innovative technologies or processes to piloted innovations or project ideas, at any stage of development, that cities can deploy and are also aplicable as measures with co-benefits both for adaptation to climate change and mitigation thereof. The most promising Solution Proposals are enhanced into Key Innovations and Toolkits, and find their way into the Smart Cities Roadmap. The Working and Coordination Groups are at the heart of the Smart Cities Stakeholder Platform.
