Cooperation and participation process for the further development of the German strategy for adaptation to climate change

Description

Cooperation and participation are important prerequisites for successful adaptation to climate change. Also in the German Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change openness and cooperation are central principles, which is why the development and implementation of adaptation policy has been accompanied by an intensive process of stakeholder participation since 2009. The present report briefly presents the various participation formats such as stakeholder dialogues, cooperation exchanges, the consultation on the 1st progress report on the German adaptation strategy and accompanying activities, derives recommendations for future participation processes and refers to existing products.

Note: this report is in German (Kooperation und Beteiligungsprozess zur Weiterentwicklung der Deutschen Anpassungsstrategie an den Klimawandel), with a summary in English on page 14
