EU Mission 'Adaptation to Climate Change': updated work programme and info day recordings available

The updated work programme and info day recording of the EU Mission 'Adaptation to Climate Change' present the planned call topics, funding opportunities and timelines for potential applicants.

As the EU Missions have entered their implementation phase, the work programme for 2021-2022, which contains actions for each of the five Missions during their preparatory phase, has been updated with their full research and innovation agenda. It sets out the funding opportunities and provides an overview of the calls for proposals that opened on 22 December 2021 and 11 January 2022.

With its first Horizon Europe Work Programme, the Mission 'Adaptation to Climate Change' will focus on developing a common risk assessment framework, based on which a first set of regions and communities will be supported to better understand their climate risks and to outline an agenda and a roadmap to build their local climate resilience. A few demonstrations of replicable climate resilience solutions will also be funded.

The EU Missions info days on 18/19 January 2022 presented the new calls for proposals, under the the amended Work Programme, providing prospective applicants with specific information on the Work Programme topics, funding opportunities and timelines.

On the Missions Info Day web page you can watch a video recording of the session dedicated to the Mission Adaptation to Climate Change, and download the related presentation.

Apart from 'Adaptation to Climate Change', four other EU Missions form part of the Horizon Europe research and innovation framework programme (Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030, A Soil Deal for Europe, Cancer, and 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart cities by 2030).
