Horizon Europe is the EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation with a budget of €95.5 billion. It tackles climate change, helps to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and boosts the EU’s competitiveness and growth.

The programme facilitates collaboration and strengthens the impact of research and innovation in developing, supporting and implementing EU policies while tackling global challenges. It supports creating and better dispersing of excellent knowledge and technologies.

Horizon Europe will incorporate research and innovation missions to increase the effectiveness of funding by pursuing clearly defined targets. For the detailed structure of Horizon Europe, please see here.

The work programmes for Horizon Europe are available to view and download on the Funding and Tenders Portal.

The key HORIZON Europe adaptation projects can be found in the Climate-ADAPT database  As there is no systematic check of all Horizon projects further information can be obtained  directly from the CINEA platform that allows for fairly intuitive customizable searches. Selection options include the type of program, the sector being funded (energy, climate, transport, ect), the year of the call, the status (ongoing; finished) of the project, etc. The search results are then displayed in a list with links to each Project sheet.
