Description

This guidance document highlights ways to gather and interpret the relevant information for decision makers, in particular on local level. Its aim is to extent the capacity of development practitioners - from both governmental and nongovernmental organisations - to find answers, using the best information available. The first part of the manual provides a brief overview of climate (impact) research. The second part gives advices on how to gather a solid information base on regional climate change, and offers useful tip-offs to mainstream climate change in development activities. The manual was written by the North-South Research Group of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and the Climate Protection Programme for Developing Countries of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH
