Conservatoria delle Coste

Description:

The Agency “Conservatoria delle Coste” has been created in 2008 within the framework of the ICZM (integrated coastal zone management) Protocol as a prompt response of the Region of Sardinia to the challenge of implementing ICZM policies at the local level. Moreover, it has a specific mandate on coastal areas protection in synergy with current planning instruments and regulations. The objective of the Agency is that of implementing a dynamic process where conservation and management are carried out respecting the fragility of ecosystems and coastal landscapes, and the diversity of uses and activities, including their interactions and impacts.
