ND-GAIN's mission is to enhance the world's understanding of the urgency for adaptation to climate change and other global forces and for the support needed through private and public investments for developing countries. The website reports many experiences on adaptation especially, but not exclusively, in developing world. An important item is the GAIN Index, a worldwide map available on the website that summarizes each country's vulnerability to climate change and other global challenges in combination with its readiness to improve resilience.
