Description

Intergovernmental multilateral cooperation in spatial planning and development of 11 countries of the BSR. It is guided by the Conference of Ministers responsible for spatial planning and development and steered by the Committee on Spatial Planning and Development of the Baltic Sea Region, composed of representatives of respective ministries and regional authorities. VASAB promotes participative spatial planning which aims at achieving sustainable balance between social, cultural, environmental as well as economic goals, including climate adaptation.
