Description

The WssTP is the Water Supply and Sanitation Technology Platform. WssTP was initiated by the European Commission in 2004 for Research and Technology Development in the water industry and was transformed into an independent legal entity under Belgian Law in 2007. WssTP was reconfirmed as one of the best-performing European Technology Platforms (ETPs) in line with the new ETP2020 strategy. Through the Strategic Research Agenda, strategic answers are providded for the water research future challenges. Furthermore, the WssTP fosters collaboration, ensure European growth and competitiveness of the water sector and provide global answers to global challenges of the next genergation.  

 There are 163 members and a network of more than 700 contributors  from industry, research, technology providers, policy makers and water users. . WssTP is led by industries in collaboration with academics, research organisations and water users to improve efficiency and financial opportunities in the sector. WssTP is recognized by the European Commission and National governments as the reference in Research & Technology water sector. WssTP works with National Representatives through the Mirror State Members Groups including government representatives from 27 European countries.
