Description

According to the 2022 IPCC report, “the severity of climate-related health risks is highly dependent on how well health systems can protect people.” The Climate Resources For Health Education Repository responds to the need for health care workers to be well-educated with a free, publicly accessible repository offering evidence-based resources to accelerate the incorporation of climate change and planetary health information into health educational curricula. Building on cutting edge science, these resources provide the rapid translation of our best science into health practice. The resources are intended to accelerate capacity building among health professionals, individuals and organizations globally that seek to promote and protect health in the 21st century.

The open-source, peer-reviewed climate and health curriculum is available to health training programs, individuals and organizations around the world. It integrates climate change and health learning objectives, slide decks, and Problem Based Learning (PBL) cases into the existing organ system and specialties, health systems science, and humanities frameworks of health education. Cases and slides are evidence-based and written by trainees in conjunction with faculty advisors. All materials are assessed by expert reviewers to ensure accuracy and high-quality.
