Description

Launched in June 2013, the Spanish Adaptation Platform is an information repository that allows uploading, posting, storing, searching and retrieving information on climate change adaptation in Spain.

It provides full information on adaptation to climate change in the country and includes gateways to access the relevant information on frameworks and actions developed at the regional and local level.

Furthermore it contains detailed and structured knowledge on impacts and vulnerability to observed and projected climate change across various socio-economic sectors, geographical areas and ecological systems in Spain. It includes information on evaluation of costs and benefits of adaptation and regionalized climate change scenarios for Spain as well.

It was designed to reinforce the governance of the National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change (PNACC), as a tool to exchange information and to enhance coordination among administrations and key stakeholders.
