Capacity Development for Hazard Risk Reduction and Adaptation (CATALYST)

CATALYST, Capacity Development for Hazard Risk Reduction and Adaptation, is an EU coordinating action funded under FP7, that seeks to be informed by and to highlight knowledge about the latest international coordination efforts, current research and existing knowledge networks. The project brings together scientists, stakeholders and networks to identify and share the best knowledge, know-how and practices related to natural hazard and disaster risk reduction (NH/DRR), including adaptation. CATALYST's ultimate mission and objective is to strengthen capacity in natural hazard and disaster risk reduction. A core activity of CATALYST is the convening of stakeholders including researchers and practitioners in a think tank allowing virtual and face-to-face exchanges on areas of concern such as methodological limitations and data gaps, as well as best practices.
