Description

The objective of the CARePol project is to assess the present use of regional climate scenarios and scientific climate change information in communication, decision support, and decision making on climate change adaptation in Finland, Sweden, and Norway. The study was made by conducting three questionnaires which were targeted to 1) climate scenario producers, 2) climate scenario users (scientific community) and 3) end users of climate scenarios and scientific information (decision makers). In addition, adaptation policy in Finland, Sweden and Norway was assessed by using national adaptation strategies or policy documents as a background material. The project provides recommendations for the use of scientific information, and identification of good practices related to adaptation to climate change in the three countries. (Source: CARePOL)
