The CLIMAAX project aims to accelerate the design and implementation of risk management plans for climate adaptation and emergency response across Europe. It provides substantial financial, analytical, and practical support to regions and communities to develop and improve their climate risk assessments. CLIMAAX contributes to the fields of climate risk assessment, environmental science, and disaster management by delivering a standardized framework based on community experience and best practices.
The core of the CLIMAAX project is development of a Methodological Framework and a supporting Toolbox to guide the users through climate risk assessment. The software implementation of the combined Framework and Toolbox is known as the CLIMAAX Digital Handbook.
Targeting regional authorities, community organizations, and Civil Protection Agencies, the project aims to accelerate the design and implementation of regional risk management plans for climate adaptation and emergency response.
