DEcision support for Adaptation pLan (iDEAL)

iDEAL project capitalizes one of the TERRE SEE project’s results – Decision Supporting System for the climate adaptation plans in order to help the local authorities to manage the climate change-related problems. The project develops a common and shared evaluation framework (indicators) from pilot areas where action will be implemented. New approaches and tools will be designed in order to foster long-term strategies and plans for adaptation to climate change.

The iDEAL project supports public administrations in taking appropriate decisions on climate change adaptation measures and in developing coherent and adequate adaptation plans for both Italian and Croatian coastal territories.

The main outcomes of the project include:

• 5 Climate Adaptation Plans;
• A common and shared evaluation framework (indicators) from pilot areas;
• 1 climate change monitoring systems DSS tool; and
• 1 cross-border training programme on DSS usage, development and updating.
