Description

The main aim of FoResTTraC is to prepare future coordinated research plans, via a strategic research roadmap, between Europe and North America regarding adaptation of forest trees to climate changes. Different disciplines are part of the proposed approach: ecology, genetics, genomics and evolution that can help in understanding the response of trees to climatic change and in predicting adaptive trajectories of tree populations. More specifically, FoResTTraC investigated the following forest tree families on the two continents: Salicaceae, Fagaceae and Pinaceae.

All project outcomes have been validated during the project by a wide group of stakeholders from Europe and North America and disseminated widely via the project website and key dissemination means.
