Description

The main goal of ICT-AGRI is to strengthen the European research on precision farming, and develop a common agenda concerning ICT and robotics for a sustainable agriculture. It will also aim to promote calls based on funds from the national research programmes of the participating Countries in order to integrate the fragmented human and financial resources, and improve the efficiency and the effectiveness of Europe’s research efforts.

More specifically the objectives of the ERA-NET ICT-AGRI are:

1. Mapping and analysis of existing research and future needs

2. Development of instruments and procedures for transnational funding activities

3. Development of strategic transnational research agenda and programmes

4. Establishing and maintaining of international collaborations and networks

ICT-AGRI will focus on coordinating European research in ICT and robotics and developing a common research agenda based on shared priorities. ICT-AGRI is supporting the development and implementation of new technologies for a competitive, sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture.
