The FARCLIMATE project responds to the challenges of implementing climate-resilient measures across diverse EU regions. While policies and technologies to address climate change impacts exist, the project recognizes the need to educate and collaborate with communities facing diverse obstacles. FARCLIMATE aims to promote climate resilience by involving communities in the development of management systems, research, and innovative solutions for agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. The project plans to implement actions in at least 20 European regions, employing a work program that includes engaging stakeholders, establishing Living Labs for co-creation, conducting deep research on value chains and environmental characteristics, and implementing tailor-made training activities. The project also focuses on the transversal implementation of innovative solutions in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors, with an emphasis on nature-based solutions. FARCLIMATE aims to disseminate learnings, barriers, and successful results through various tools, such as policy recommendations, guidelines, management plans, and an innovative Transformation Hub. The overall objective is to address the complex challenges of climate resilience, considering social, political, and economic barriers in diverse EU regions.
