The REGILIENCE-plus project aims to accelerate climate adaptation across European regions and communities by addressing one of the main barriers to action: the lack of accessible and actionable knowledge. Despite ongoing efforts, many local and regional authorities still face significant challenges in planning and implementing adaptation measures, with knowledge gaps identified as the most critical need by a large majority of stakeholders.

To bridge this gap, REGILIENCE-plus will collect and systematise 150 proven adaptation solutions, including case studies, tools, and adaptation options, and translate them into more than 70 practical, multilingual knowledge products, training activities, and services tailored to different regional contexts. These outputs are designed to support a wide range of users, including regional and local authorities, national organisations, and climate adaptation initiatives.

By improving access to relevant knowledge and facilitating its practical application, REGILIENCE-plus will enable faster, more effective, and more systemic climate adaptation.

The project ultimately contributes to strengthening the capacity of European regions and communities to respond to climate-related risks through the replication and scaling-up of proven solutions.
