TeRRIFICA – Territorial Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) Fostering Innovative Climate Action – aims at creating a comprehensive overview on the state of the art of climate change adaptation research, tangible climate action and climate change adaptation examples, related policies as well as communication strategies and methods at different levels of complexity. Through its co-creative multi-stakeholder approaches the project aims at identifying opportunities, drivers and barriers of implementation. It takes into account challenges for the acceptance and feasibility, technological and regulatory constraints in six pilot regions in Spain, Germany, France, Serbia, Poland and Belarus.
The selected pilot regions cover the diversity of climate change mitigation approaches in Central–South, East–West, urban–rural, EU–non-EU settings. The Crowd-Mapping Tool and the data sets have been made publicly available. 69 case studies were identified and described as flagship examples of climate actions in the six pilot regions, of which 17 were chosen and analysed in detail as relevant sources of good practices of co-creation in climate action.
The work done along the project has been captured in multiple and diverse outputs, from scientific publications to data sets and reports. All materials are already available on the project website. The deliverables and reports have been gathered in this list of project results. A TeRRIFICA Toolkit has also been made available, highlighting some practical documents such as the Guide on Engagement and Co-Creation, two Policy Briefs and the Crowd-Mapping data sets. A compilation of all scientific articles published by the TeRRIFICA consortium members is also available on the website.
