Description

The study deals with the question of the extent to which adaptation to climate change is taken into account in the current legal regulations at regional and local level. The first part deals with spatial planning, urban development and environmental planning. The second part relates to communal services of general interest, in particular the fields of public drinking water supply, sewage disposal, preventive flood protection, public waste disposal, energy supply and communal transport infrastructure. In each case, the legal regulations are analyzed in detail, exemplary plans are analyzed and specific recommendations for the further development of the law are derived.

Note: this report is in German (Klimaanpassung im Raumordnungs-, Städtebau- und Umweltfachplanungsrecht sowie im Recht der kommunalen Daseinsvorsorge), with a short abstract in English on page 4
