Description

The UK has passed legislation that introduces the world’s first long-term legally binding framework to tackle the dangers of climate change. The Climate Change Bill was introduced into Parliament on 14 November 2007 and became law on 26 November 2008. It mostly focusses on mitigation, yet also specifies Government responsibility towards adaptation. Procedural it specifies that the risk report and adaptation programme will be updated every 5 years.
