A group of scientists from the Nordic countries has gathered to develop a white paper to elaborate a transnational adaptation strategy in the Nordic countries. Beside to describing and comparing the adaptation strategies in each of the Nordic countries, the authors have introduced the needs and the challenges of a Nordic adaptation strategy. Furthermore, the rationale, steering mechanisms and policy instruments of the Nordic adaptation strategy are explained.
