Managing climate risks to well-being and the economy
Description
The Committee on Climate Change 2014 annual report was about climate change impacts on infrastructure, business, health care system and emergency services. The aim was to advise the government on adaptation needs based on a pragmatic and cost-effective approach. Infrastructure includes rails and road networks, water infrastructure and energy networks. Resilience in infrastructure could be strengthened by improving monitoring and resilience planning, strenghtening regulatory frameworks, and avoiding systemic build-up of risks.
