National Adaptation Plan - Denmark
Description
The Action plan entitled "How to manage cloudburst and rain water. Action plan for a climate proof Denmark" became available in 2012. It provides an overview of the initiatives that the government has either planned or already set in motion, to ensure that Denmark will become more resilient to climate change. The Action plan focuses on five general areas of initiative: an improved framework for climate change adaptation; more consultancy and a new knowledge base; strengthened collaboration and coordination; green transition; international climate change adaptation. Progress of the initiatives is expected to be continuously assessed in the action plan while municipal climate change adaptation plans will be evaluated in 2015.
