Climate strategy for cultural environment management 2021-2030

Description

The Climate Strategy for Cultural Environmental Management 2021-2030, prepared by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage (Riksantikvaren) deals with the effects of climate change on the cultural environment and sets goals and strategies to reduce impacts on the environment and preserve cultural heritage. There are five main goals to ensure that cultural environments are among the things that can withstand climatic impacts. The objectives focus primarily on increasing the energy efficiency of existing buildings, reducing carbon emissions and protecting historical and cultural values. In general, the strategy emphasizes the need to preserve historical cultural values in order to enable future generations to learn from and protect them.
