The Extended Environmental Taxonomy: Final Report on Taxonomy extension options supporting a sustainable transition

Description

This report responds to the Commission’s request for advice from the Platform on possible extensions of the EU Taxonomy on green and sustainable finance. The purpose of this report is to inform the Commission, capital markets, companies and other economic actors and stakeholders on the ways in which an extended environmental Taxonomy can become a Taxonomy for transitioning the whole European economy. When read together with the Platform’s report on a future Social Taxonomy, this report presents a fuller picture of how the Taxonomy can and should develop in the near future to signal and support financing of  the most urgent transitions needed.
