Description

The Finnish Transport Agency has carried out a study to project the conditions of the transport sector in 2035, because the agency assumes that the transport system of the future will face various challenges. One of these challenges is climate change mitigation and adaptation (section 2.3). Because of climate change, preparedness is required in infrastructure and traffic services in order garantuee the service level. Risks that should be considered in adapting the transport are floods, gales, rainstorms, and around zero weather conditions.
