Description

The report contains the results advaced numerical models and on-site measurements on the impacts of adaptation on the urban climate for the case study cities of Antwerp, Paris, Delhi and Bilbao. The outcomes are design and policy guidelines for new and consolidated urban areas. The issues and challenges of climate change arising from heatwaves are described, most important existing methods and tools for urban climate analysis are presented and genral adaptive strategies and design recommendations of adaptation measures for heatwaves are provided.
