"Climate Inspirations: Communities in Action" is an innovative, creative and collaborative festival that aims to change the narrative around climate action to one of positivity.

An initiative of the Galway City Council Climate Action Team it will harness Galway's creative energy and embrace our theatrical, musical, art, active travel, sport, Gaeilge and food cultures and will deliver on objectives as set out in the recently adopted Galway City climate action plan. Highlights include ‘Playful Streets’, taking over Middle street and transforming it with a full free programme of games, pop-up street theatre, face painting, art, circus, and musical performances all aimed at prompting climate conversations. A series of talks and panel discussions taking place in An Taibhdhearc on Friday 13 & Sat 14 will look at a variety of topics like the reality of achieving Carbon targets, how we adapt to the weather implications of climate change and a look at inspirational stories from around the world.
