The Community Benefit Fund provides community grants financed by renewable energy projects under the Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS). While not exclusively an adaptation programme, at least 40% of the funds must support projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (including Goal 13: Climate Action). This enables communities to implement sustainability and resilience initiatives.
Potential projects may include climate adaptation measures such as flood prevention, biodiversity protection, or community energy resilience, depending on local priorities.
