The Sustainable Development Programme (DDP) contributes to transforming the EU economy into a modern, competitive, and resource-efficient economy, in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal and the EU Action Plan on Zero Pollution, as part of the EGD. The programme is underpinned by Romania’s National Strategy for Sustainable Development 2030, a document structured in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the EU Council Conclusions. The strategy contributes to Europe’s ambition to become the first climate-neutral continent, ensuring that economic growth is sustainable and not based on the intensive use of natural resources.
