The European Environment Agency (EEA) has announced an online interactive webinar later this month (30th October 2024) to explore new data and knowledge tools, available on the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change Portal, to drive adapation in European regions. The webinar will showcase the Regional Adaptation Support Tool (RAST), designed to assist local and regional authorities across the EU in planning and implementing climate adaptation strategies. Attendees will receive an in-depth, guided walkthrough of the steps, resources and tools available for each stage of the adaptation policy cycle, with a particular emphasis on the Adaptation Dashboard and its use. This dashboard provides user-friendly access to comprehensive climate risk data, including information on hazards, impacts, vulnerabilities, and policy responses, enabling decision-makers to effectively assess and manage climate risks. Additional resources from Climate-ADAPT will also be highlighted.

The webinar will also cover new reporting activities under the Mission, with the reporting platform now open for submissions. Signatories are encouraged to begin reporting this year, promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

The webinar is aimed at local and regional decision-makers, organisations involved in climate adaptation, and anyone interested in these tools and activities under the Mission. Attendees will also be invited to provide feedback via Slido, with opportunities to ask questions and engage throughout the session.
