Climateurope2 is a 4.5-year Horizon Europe project that addresses the need for timely delivery and effective use of climate information. The project aims to support the climate services community and propose standardisation procedures for future equitable and quality-assured climate services, useful for decision making in all sectors of society. The first Climateurope2 webstival will feature invited talks on EU adaptation strategy, climate risk assessment, mission adaptation and other Horizon Europe missions.

The EU funded REGILIENCE project provides a first Open Training Session (OTS) of its series of capacity-building events for regional actors working on adaptation to climate change. The session focuses on the EU resilience landscape and explores highly innovative EU initiatives and projects. It will provide guidance on where to get support with respect to current regional challenges and needs and highlight opportunities to boost regional climate resilience developments.

Participants will get to know different approaches from European countries, will get networking opportunities and will be able to look at cooperation in municipalities and regions, the role of climate data in dialogue processes as well as to compare formats of climate adaptation processes.

This biennal conference is the flagship event of the World Adaptation Science Programme (WASP), one of the four components of the World Climate Programme. In October 2023, Ouranos, the Government of Canada and the WASP will host the 7th edition of Adaptation Futures (AF2023). The main hub of the conference will be located at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, Québec, Canada. Call for sessions will be opened early October 2022. There might be a strand for European climate adaptation actions and research projects.
