The use of Earth Observations (EO) for local purposes such as climate change adaptation or evidencing Loss & Damage can face obstacles. The objective of this workshop, organised by the International Space Science Institute, Switzerland, is to assess the usability of EO from a local perspective. Furthermore, it will identify obstacles and ways forward, thereby ‘opening up’ EO to fulfil the promise of Open Science.
