What are some of the most pressing policy gaps that need to be bridged at the national and subnational levels to strengthen health systems around the world to address the impacts of climate change? Health Care Without Harm convened 30 health professionals from 21 organizations representing millions of health professionals to discuss five indicators from the 2025 Lancet Countdown report on health and climate change. This latest report, Policy brief for health professionals, summarizes the insights of those conversations and outlines five policy recommendations for national and subnational governments. Participants analyzed five indicators selected by Health Care Without Harm and recommended five high-level, concrete policy initiatives. This new global policy brief moves beyond the "why" and provides a "how."
