Observatory includes new and updated ECDE indicators

New and updated indicators of the European Climate Data Explorer (ECDE) that are relevant to human health are now available in the Observatory.

New ECDE indicators include those informing about climatological heatwave days (based on temperature alone, up to 2099) and high UTCI days (expressing very strong to extreme heat stress based on temperature and human physiological responses).

Updated indicators include those informing about the climatic suitability and season length for the Tiger mosquito, and about apparent temperature heatwave days (combining temperature and humidity). The indicators provide information up to 2099.

The data underlying the indicators originates from the Climate Data Store (CDS) of the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S).
