Hlavným cieľom projektu oLIVE-CLIMA je podporiť zavádzanie nových pestovateľských postupov pre stromové plodiny ako nákladovo efektívny prostriedok zmierňovania zmeny klímy a adaptácie na ňu. Oblasti produkujúce olivy v Grécku sa vyberú s cieľom preskúmať ich potenciál zvýšiť sekvestráciu uhlíka do pôdy, znížiť emisie skleníkových plynov a otestovať tri rôzne sociálno-ekonomické situácie, ktoré v súčasnosti prevládajú v gréckych poľnohospodárskych podnikoch: od tradičnejšieho poľnohospodárstva po inovatívne, ekologicky citlivé poľnohospodárstvo.
