Technical guidance on integrating climate change adaptation in programmes and investments of Cohesion Policy

Description:

The ‘Cohesion Policy’ covered by this document refers to the three following Funds: the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Cohesion Fund (CF). The guidance is mainly aimed at the 2014 – 2020 Cohesion Policy programming period. It is tied closely to the proposed regulations, as they will govern what has to be done to plan and implement Cohesion Policy funded programmes and projects.

Overall, the proposed regulations for European Structural and Investment Funds 2014 – 2020 reflect the increased importance that climate change risks and the need for adaptation have gained in the European policy agenda.
