Description

Circa 130 participants joined the 3rd Open European Day to learn about adaptation in practice, but also to share their experience through interactive exchange, touch base on their daily work on adaptation, and discuss challenges and solutions. In addition to cities, stakeholders from universities and research institutes, international organizations, national and regional governments, local NGOs, as well as consultancies and freelancers participated. This report takes stock of the experiences shared at the Open European Day 2016 and synthesizes the main findings resulting from the discussions of the day, highlighting emerging themes and challenges, and giving some recommendations on how to move further.
