This report was developed by the company DNV GL and explores the relevance of climate change for the energy infrastructure and consequently to the society. Given the complexity and interdependencies between different societal systems, it is important to reduce vulnerability of society towards climate risks and to increase the resilience. The report explores how climate change is projected to impact industries, both maritime industries as well as on-shore industries. The report also presents a comprehensive strategy to adapt to these climate risks, that includes:

  • flexibility
  • innovation
  • response
  • recovery
  • learning

 

Collaboration is at the core of the adaptation approach.
